New NEED HELP PLS
Hi all i am new to site and finding my way round a bit confusing lol ... anyway i have been keeping koi for around 3 yrs now and never had a problem until recently .. last week i noticed a couple of my koi sulking and probably stupidly thought it was calming down period from a medication i gave acraflvine ... anyway a couple of days later i find my new addition with quite bad fin rot .
Cant believe i had nt spotted it before but upon closer inspetion i noticed that a couple of others also ahow signs of finrot and one of my smallest koi looked like it had been eaten across the lower back .
I salt bathed all koi in a qt tank and used acraflavine .... i have done 400 gallon water changes daily for past wèek and still had no reprieve ....
i have tested water and everything is fine .. i had this double checked at a local koi place and again no causes for concern ..... so to clarify i have fineot and a couple have a raised sore with a lifted scale and i have noticed some white raised almost furry looking spot on one koi .
Im starting to worry something is seriously wrong here . So any ideas or help would be appreciated .
Regards
Richie

Hi like to introduce myself, I am a long sufferer of having a badly built pond that I built 20 years ago and I am now going to dig out and upgrade. You have a good forum here as I have being lurking on it to glean some good advice on what to do right this time out.

I get my
API Freshwater Master Test Kit from ebay
make sure its the one above master. as that does high PH as well as low PH
on my pond I always have an 8 PH. so it is highish

also if you trickle in and out. or water changes. most of us useSodium Thiosulphate 500g - 99% Pure Crystals Aquarium Dechlorinator High Gradefleabay as well. use this for water changes lasts ages. I buy 2x bags ago. and lasts me about a year.
