Poorly Koi
I noticed skin discolouration about a month ago. Now I can see what looks like a green moss where this discolouration is, I had a koi previously that had a bad scrape against a rock who had the same and it fell off and healed. The other day I noticed on the 7 year old that he also has other problems, not sure if a fungus or just wounds that are healing. Also I had a gold fish that passed- I thought it was egg bound at first but then noticed red patches and slightly raised scales - so perhaps dropsy, I treated the pond with Blagdon anti ulcer and the treatment completes tomorrow even though the treatment was for the goldfiah that passed. My concern is with the koi...., if I upload pictures will you be able to say if wounds or something else and how I can help him, hes not really been eating and tends to stay in one part of the pond apart from a swim around now and again, where he seems ok and eats the odd fly. Please advise what I can do or what it may be.

Gosh, how do I do that, scrape the green off and put under a microscope?

Basically yes.
Use something like an old credit card and carefully try to scrape a bit off then put it on a slide so you can view it under a microscope. Could be worth doing a few scrapes to get some of the slime coat as that's where you'll find any parasites. Don't need much of the slime and wet it down a little bit to thin it out or you might not see through it. Obviously don't go against the flow of the scales as you might lift them go in the direction from head to tail, if that makes sense?________________________________________________

You might want to wear some waterproofs as you will get wet trying to scrape the koi. They tend to struggle a bit.

Can't really see a great deal as I'm viewing it on my phone but that koi looks a bit of a strange shape to me. It could just be the photo and the water distorting the image but it looks like it's got various bulges, it's not a sleek smoothe shaped body going by photo number 4? Also in the same photo if it's completely under the water it's dorsal fin should be more upright?

Just found it, Saprolegnia or SAP is a kind of fungal infection.
I'd never heard of it so just googled it. People were asking things like why's my koi got algae growing on it?________________________________________________

As an additional thought i have some questIons re water changes and the quality of the tap water which may be useful
I have high levels of iron and zinc in my tap water and unless I use colombo or aqua extreme dechlorinator (only dechlorinators which remove metals) my fish quickly suffer from ulcers, bacterial infections etc …….
1) how often do you do water changes
2) if yes to q1 how many gallons / litres do you change per week and what percentage of pond volume
3) do you use dechlorinator and or purification cartridges for water changes
4) do you dose at recommended rate of manufacturer (for dechlor) or when were your cartridges last changed
5) when did you last obtain / study a water report for your water supply area (from your water company)
In summary infections are typically are caused by
1) inadequate filtration leading to poor water params
2) heavy metals and / or chlorine/ chloramine in tap water which is not removed
3) low oxygen levels in water
4) extreme daily changes in water temperature combined with any of the above - if i didn't heat mine the pond water would swing 6° a day in the summer (3° up and 3° down)
