The first problem I have is the liner, I don't like the folds in the corners I'm convinced they harbour bad stuff plus I also wonder when a treatment goes in the pond some of the parasites retreat to the creases for the first few hours, they've been around for a few million years so I'm sure they've picked up a few survival skills and secondly I want a couple of bottom drains and thirdly I want Position my returns, I think there the main reasons

Yep fibreglass, might have a go myself, I building a quarantine first so I can have trial run and see if I'm any good

It's not too difficult Paddy as long as you plan it all before hand as it's a pretty fast job to do.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
