    Coventry new pond

Hi Everybody, been reading as much information as possible on this forum before starting my new build.
If somebody could let me know how i add pictures id be most gratefull.
Blockwall is all built and layed on a 9 inch concrete base.
4 inch bottom drain with air diffuser
Size is 8ft square,4 foot deep.
I purchased an old Nexus 200 with an easy fitted and will be ran on a ea 10000 vari pump to an ea 25 watt uv.
2 returns,1 mid depth and one via a water blade.
Im still contemplating on wether to fit a heater or not.(Cant afford an air scource,so an inline it would have to be)
I do have polycarb sheets already, but trying to work out heating costs currently.

Welcome mate. There is a thread about heating at the moment have a look at that. Heating with a inline to high temps 20+ I think will cost a bomb but at your pond size 7000 Ish think a 3kw elecro would do the job of keeping steady temps and heating very well with covers on. A member on here Samp added a 3kw with no covers and Cost a small fortune but polycarb helps amazingly

I would think that if you can’t afford an ASHP then you won’t be wanting the electricity bills of an in-line which will actually cost more within a very short space of time. An in-line is fine in an indoor insulated tank setup, but not so good on the outdoor pond unless it’s there as a backup heater.
