Bottom drain control
I'm looking to modify the riser from my bottom drain. Ive got a 110 mm Valterra slide in situ and want to place a 2nd in line .
Has anyone used one of these before? Its a pipe stopper.
I'd place 2 in sequence incase 1 failed for the hour or ...2 it may take, they are commonly used for air tests etc. Id put one in under the bottom drain cover and the second down the riser. A 6" or a 4" , but I'd be happier with the 6".

on a riser it should be ok as long as it is not too far down or it may slide out.........i prefer the metal/rubber bung as it will hold a lot more pressure back , if you have access to use one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bailey-Dr...cAAOSwU9lbeazX

Thanks for that @phil45
I should have been more specific for set up. "if you have access to use one"
I can slide the bladder down from the Nexus down round the 90 at the bottom of the riser.
To install that though in the pond at bottom drain its a goggles on job, nearly like holiday swimming @22 degrees .

i wouldn't use one in the pond end,
if it slips further back due to pressure it would be a right pain to get it out...
though they do grip pretty well,
i have used them in solvent weld soil stacks to locate leaks by back filling with water, up to 3 floors depth.... about 1 bar
and they held fine
we tend to use the bailey bungs on open ends, and the balloons through the bottom rodding accessLast edited by davethefish1; 29-09-2020 at 04:06 PM.
