Hi from Norway
Hi i am Desmond from Ireland but living in Norway , currently planning my first koi pond build. Been keeping fresh water and marine tanks for years but have caught a bug to get me a koi pond and now with planning permission received off the MRS its full speed ahead before she changes her mind lol Applied for planning off my local council due to depth and requirements and waiting for approval but can plan and hope all goes through :-)

Good Luck with the project Desmond.
I’ve been in Sandnes ( not far down the road ) for the last 20yrs, my 15.000 liters fell foul to a major leak a few years back, l’m currently planning a project for when we hopefully return to the Uk in a couple of years.
Who will be your koi dealer? Tropex? Koi.no?

koi.no is the closest to me but i would like to go to them as they are only 1.5 hrs from me and see the quality. I will see how much i have left for koi lol it might be a soaking pool considering i just spent a load on corals also :-) I have never heard of tropex before i must look them up.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
