I'd be tempted to run two lines on two pumps. One to the pod from the bottom drain and one from your skimmer to a shower, I'm doing similar, drain to nexus 220 with Draco drum. Skimmer to vortex (swapped to seive when money allows!) to a shower.
I was going to just run the skimmer to pump to return, but decided to add extra filteration to it.
I'm sure someone will be along soon with more experience/knowledge as me, won't be hard my ponds not even built yet

Will do... things have slowed down as Wickes are out of stock of the wood to go round the glass housing, but have everything else (except glass which is out for delivery) to take the build to the point of ordering the liner which I’m holding off until I've installed the Gordon Low heavy duty underlay to get the measurements for the liner perfect, which I will do tomorrow weather permitting

Yep Wickes delivered me a part order other day been texted rest of order due today so this weekend I can finish a couple of panels and gate assembly between house and garage bit of extra security, wind shield/protection and privacy.
Looking good the pond and a simple construction method compared to all the steel, concrete etc we see in some builds.
Keep us posted1000 gal

Nice I've almost got everything at my place too.
Just need to get a few bits of plumbing, some cable for electrics and wait for the roof panels to arrive. Then it's just a case of finding the time to get it all finished.... hopefully before winter

Where the UV will go, but unfortunately I have to return it as supplier sent me a pre-owned uv instead of brand new one requested replacement another delay!

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
