    Hi from Kent

Hi all, I'm Steve from Charing in Kent, I've been on here a few weeks now, I found this place while trying to find help to save a fairly large (45cm) Koi that had two severe ulcers which only became apparent when they came up from the bottom of the pond after winter. I've been keeping fish for almost 20 years, although initially only goldfish. Ten years ago I rebuilt my pond and got my first Koi. I have seven Koi, in a 4500 litre pond. This summer I am massively increasing the volume and filtration of my pond, going to 12000 litres. Great to have joined an welcoming and informed group.

    Steve

    Welcome Steve.

I'm also in the South East and also started with Goldfish for around 30 years before Koi. Typing that and I feel old. Also running a 12,000 litre pond.

Looking forward to photos of the build.

Looking forward to seeing your upgrade Steve. I'm building my first pond as we speak but have also kept fish for 20 odd years.

Then the wood that the house is in is exactly where I was with the dog... if you know the Wynd, then the garden gate to my house for walking is halfway down the Wynd, extremely close! Although you are still right at the beginning of Bowl Rd, it carries on for about 2 miles until you get to a great pub called the Bowl Inn, although that's obviously closed at the moment. I'll happily share the plans for my pond, although any changes I'd make would need to be pretty soon as I'm planning on starting in a couple of weeks and have already sent the plans to my builder.
