Hi all, just joined the forum today , looking forward to contact with other koi keepers. I live in east Yorkshire and have been keeping koi for 30 years, lucky enough to have two ponds 7000 galls and 2000 galls both self built. About 30 fish 6inch to 24inch.

Welcome to the forum, a bottomless pit of good advice but also a few dodgy northerners so be wary of them

Hi H , am ok thanks , a bit knackered from building new pond , am getting too old for digging and concreting now ( could not have done it without the help of my two sons, grandsons and friends). However its running now, just getting the filters fired up then will send for a batch of fry to grow on. 2000 galls ,two bott drains, drum and bakki shower ,heater..Looking good at the mo. Give me a call if you would like to have a look sometime when this f*****g virus has gone away. Maybe Geds malachite and formalin would cure it. Ha Ha.
Anyway Best Regards and stay safe.
Graham.

Will do Graham.Sounds interesting .Ive just restocked with Geds Formalin and MG in case of problems..We could try it on the Corona. No fish have died of it yet so you never know
Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
