Time to take this hobby to the next level!
Hi folks, I have been recommended this forum from reddit, I have been a very casual pond hobbyist for a few years since buying some inexpensive koi fry and have been upgrading the pond each year as they grow, I am now at a stage where I want to make a leap and create a pond that will last! I have also just reserved 10 Japanese and butterfly koi from a brand new stockist which popped up 10 mins from my house (lots of temptation in there!) I am planning to do most of the work myself and will be spending a lot of time in the pond construction forum I’m sure! So far I have a rough sketch of what I’m aiming for, it should be enough for all 16 (hopefully more) as they grow and mature. I’ve not looked into filter brands etc yet, first step is going to be clearing the build area and marking everything out before breaking ground. I am excited but it is more than a little daunting taking on such a massive project alone!

I’ll definitely be taking lots of pictures! Is there a way to attach them directly to a thread/reply or do they need to be uploaded elsewhere first?

Welcome looking forward to following your build. I find using Tapatalk (3rd party app) helps a lot with adding photos it’s free and easy to use.

Thanks guys, downloaded Tapatalk now, so here is a picture of my very basic plan! IMG_4699.jpg
I’ll be spending a lot of time looking at members ponds and reading build threads till the weather gets a bit better I think.

Hi mate.thats where you click to add a photo. But I found you can only upload a certain amount with the pixel size.
So like being said I use tapatalk and no problems there.
And welcome. To the forum. As said. Visit ponds in your area if you can.
So put on here where you live as in area.
And you may get a couple of pond views.
