Oldie Newbie
Good morning, used to be on the old koimag forum some years ago ... My pond is semi raised 1500 gallons, bay filters with K1 static and fluidised and map matt, also a shower with bhm, about 9 koi in all, just thought it would be not nice to get back things as had my finger of the pulse for a bit and sure there's bound to have been some new kit in the filter department.
Kind regards Moby

Morning Johnathon,
Thanks for the welcome, cdid see some drums working a while back and they were very impressive. My set up is a vortex then 2 bays I have added the following, the vortex has a container with static k1 this allows the water to slowly spin dropping out some crud before it goes through the k1, there is an air ring in the bottom to clean it, bit like an easypod really, next in the bay is jappmatt in cartridge f9rm, from there into the last chamber with about 50 litres of fluidised k1 then back to the pond, unfortunately pump fed ( you live and learn) will try and get some pics up in due course.
Hope that's useful mate

Live and learn you do mate am pump fed also . Time and money I wouldn't have a seconds thought about ripping mine out and starting again. Think it was familyman on here that had a multibay and put a drop in drako drum in to the vortex worked really well I think

The fish are still the same
Like AJM has said, drop in drum will save you cleaning brushes and get rid of solids quickly but if everything is working leave well alone lol.
Welcome back to forummmmmming fella

Morning fellas, yep drum in the vortex would hep but the static k1 does grab a fair bit of crud and the air cleaning is easy, think with the shower pump the pond gets turned over about once every 30 mins. As said fish are the same and don't seem to get too many dramas so hopefully all good.
The Daily pond temp thread
