i see we can edit the thread titles by going to advanced, but it doesn't alter the title in the forum view??
can this be sorted out easily? as it's nice to be able to update sale threads, etc.
cheers

I don’t know whether I can alter them or not, let me try with this one and I will let you know.
I am not an expert on the code this forum is running on and it has a shed load of settings that I don’t know what they do2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Ok, I think I have altered this thread title. Can you see it?
It is an administrative thread setting that probably only mods can see. So if you want a thread title altered, or threads merged, split or deleted you will have to ask me unfortunately.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Yes the altered title is visible. Is there a way to assign editability of titles to members as they have over body text? Such permissions are often tick box parameters in the control panel.

Can somebody who is not a moderator please try to change the thread title of one of their threads by editing the first post in the thread please. I can’t try this myself for obv reasons and don’t have a sock puppet account to try it from.

Just tried it on my poly carb thread. Doesn't allow title edit from mobile but I'll try again when I'm back at my PC shortly. The functions between the two interfaces are quite different.

I understand. Who is in overall charge of this forum and is there a way to contact them?

Hi Lara, finally got around to trying to edit the title of a thread from my PC after it didn't work on the mobile app. On PC, if you go into the Advanced Edit options, it does allow you to edit the post title, but not the thread title.
I've just done this on my first ever thread in which I spelled Trichodina incorrectly as Thrichodina. Whilst I've managed to edit the first post title (as you can see from here: https://www.koiforum.uk/koi-hospital/24608-thrichodina-skin-flukes-costia-help-please.html?highlight=trichodina, that correction hasn't fed through to the thread title which is what we need to achieve for things like sales threads. Is this anything you can help with, or shall I add it to my list of 'stuff to ask Steve about" ?11,440L Raised Pond, BD, Oase ProfiClear, Bitron 55W, 2x10k Aquaforte Varios, Skimmer to Waterblade

List of stuff......
A few of the forums are not set in date order, unless you physically go in and do it yourself.
