Pond is around 8-9 weeks old including the filter (oase bio 24,000l set ) on a 5,000l pond so should handle it ok. I Have 8 8inch fish and a 6inch sturgeon

I filled my pond up in October last year and still get persistent nitrite. So as you can see it takes a long time for the pond to mature.
So keep testing, slow down/stop feeding if it starts spiking and carry out water changes as suggested and it should eventually sort itself out.

Try something like these , I have used others but find these work well for odd spikes in Ammonia & Nitrites
