So Many Adverts
The amount of adverts is getting worse just lately, in one post alone on the one year eazypod review the same advert appears three times, it’s making some of the posts a bit monotonous, continually scrolling past the adverts. Ok the site needs revenue to run it but three adverts for a the same car in one post in the thread is getting a bit OTT.

I must admit I was a little shocked when I came back on here, I had been off for some time and then when I posted, in the middle of my post was an advert, took some time to realise what it was and why it was right in the MIDDLE of my post? not in between posts, that would make sense

the banner adverts on the top seem to have doubled in size, don't want to use an adblocker on here as its prob helping pay for the server, but if they get any bigger or more random then maybe I might have too donate if it shifts the wretched things

I do not get all of those adverts when using the forum, it must be the operating system you are using or your computer/phone.

The google ads revenue is next to nothing, it doesnt cover hosting, I pay for really good, fast hosting for this forum. If more people upgraded their account to supporting member I could probably just ditch the google ads https://www.koiforum.uk/payments.php

Ah ok, I believe I have discovered the ad problem. Google auto ads placement was on, I have disabled it, that should be better. Please do not use an adblocker on this site, there are no popups or malicious ads and now that auto ads is off everything should be in a fixed position without surprises!
Cheers

I don't / won't use an ad-blocker because many enthusiasts forums (fora?) do rely on advertising revenue to sustain service, but equally I don't begrudge a couple of pounds a month subscription. It's ages since I bought a Koi magazine at a newsagents but not many glossy mags are available for under £4 a month these days - and still full of advertising with questionable editorial independance as a result.
