    For Sale Section

Most forums I belong to have various criteria for using the For Sale Section.

    Main ones being:

    1) Items being sold MUST have a price stated or they will be removed.

    2) To list something for sale the user must have previous participation in the forum over a period of time, i.e X number of posts required or must have been a member for X period of time.

All these factors have been proven to significantly reduce the chances of other members getting ripped off or scammed. It also avoids businesses selling off rubbish they can't shift elsewhere by opening various accounts and listing items for sale which is unfair when other businesses have to be a forum sponsor to be able to sell products.

4 Years now since starting this thread.

Its a shame the mods appear to have ignored it, even if only a response giving the technical reasons why my suggestions could not have been implemented, but I can't imagine why not as no other forum I belong to allows people to list stuff for sale below a certain post count or thanks/likes rating.

On top of that I feel its unfair to business sponsors of the site when they are paying for a presence (I assume), but any tom dick or harry with a business can (and do) start listing their stock for sale totally free of charge.

But here we are again with people experiencing issues whilst buying / selling.
