Koi Medic salinity Meter Calibration fluid 0.5%
Anyone know where to get any?
Should be about £10-£15 for a 500ml bottle without the Koi tax, but can't find any in stock outside of Switzerland or the USA.

Did 5 grams of salt work ? I can only get mine to calibrate with 8 grams on salt to 1 liter of water.

According to the manufacturer's literature you posted on FaceBook where I've been trying to help you, you can use their standard solution SS0005 but you've tried to calibrate with 8 grams (8ppt / 0.8%) so, before you get that, have you tried making a 5 gram / litre (5 ppt / 0.5%) solution and recalibrating in that as I suggested?

Yes that worked.
If you calibrate it to the wrong solution, you are telling the unit to base itself off the wrong starting point
That's why the calibration fluid has to be correct.
Otherwise using 0.8 and telling it that is 0.5 (by pressing the button to 'calibrate') means it will be wrong.Last edited by Alburglar; 11-10-2025 at 01:27 PM.
