    adding extra inlet/outlets to RDF

So, when i bought my RDF i messed up and didnt future proof myself with my drum filter, so now i need to add an extra inlet and outlet to it, whilst theres plenty of room to add both, i just dont know wether to use a flange tank connector (where i would use stainless bolts to go all the way through and bolt it in place) or use a threaded tank conector?
Both would work but im not sure which would be stronger for the 4" rubber boot to be jubilee clipped on to?

The other option is to get a bolt on inlet/outlet, ie:factory fit with a base pre welded on to the the 4" plastic tube, although ive not found anyone that can make me some yet, even the few RDF manufactures i phone dont want to sell me any lol

I used one of these with a standard push (solvent) fit:

Plastic Pipe Shop is a decent place - I've ordered a load from there in the past.

Cut using a whole saw, then smoothed any burrs on the wall and then fit. Careful to ensure that there's enough space around the fitting so you actually fit it.

The one I used has the fitting on the outside, and in the inside it has a screw thread.

I think used a 2.5" connector as it was for my UVC circuit so it didn't need to be massive.

You can see it attached to the drum here:

I now also have a second 32mm for an overflow pipe (not shown in the picture).

I've used 4" flanged connectors on my old bio unit.
if you install the flange reversed on the inside and a spigot of pipe glued in for the boot to connect to,
or the spigot end cominf through from the reverse side, you won't see the flange.
so once you have a boot on them you can't tell.

Or just get a spigot of 110mm polypropylene welded in.

How close are you to the maximum flow on your current inlets?

Couldn't you join into one of your existing inlets before the drum?

Otherwise, I'd copy the manufacturer with a bolt on flange. There is a lot of weight in a full pipe.
