    Bottom drain advice

    Hi all
having a few issues with some kind of blockage in one of ny bottom drains (gravity fed) one slows down to almost a trickle over a period of 24 hours and I’ve tried purging it by emptying my drum and releasing the valve in that drain which did get it going again ( after many attempts) but 24 hours later I’m back to square one.
I’ve also tried putting my Karcher drain cleaner through from the drum which seems to go all the way after a lot of wiggling to get it past the bends but I guess it’s just not high enough pressure to shift whatever’s causing it. Anyone got any advice or other ideas as I really don’t fancy diving in to rod it in this weather and it’s 4.5 feet deep.
Spent about 2 hours a day trying to resolve this but getting nowhere fast - I’ve even tried shutting off my other Bd and skimmer so the bad drain gets more draw on it but it struggles to even handle my 30k varipump on 60%

my preffered method for clearing drains is a set of drain rods and a rubber plunger attachment.
you can either rod the pipe all the way through, or push /pull the water in the pipe to try and clear it.

or if you have access and can get a seal on the 4" connection.
this works well on toilet blockages as you can push and pull a large volume of water back and forwards to try and clear the blockage.

if all else fails a cheap borescope camera from ebay can be pushed down to see whats blocking the pipe.

A couple of things worth ruling out spring to mind.

Firstly, are there any sections of the BD pipework that come up then go back down again before they reach the filter i.e like an upside u bend?

If so it could be air locked.

Secondly, can you check that there is a big enough gap between the lid of the bottom drain and the surrounding area. If the lid of the bottom drain has dropped down somehow, that could explain why there is barely any flow coming through.

Thought I'd mention these points as I've seen other people have these issues when having similar flow issues before.
