Thread: Bakki shower additional filtration

We already run an Oase 90,000 screenmatic filter plus a recent addition tempest on our pump fed 16,000 litre pond. As the Koi are still growing we are considering installing a Bakki shower.in anticipation of the additional burden on the pond. Can anyone tell me please what size shower, type of media and additional pump we would need? Also, are there any cons that we should be aware of? Thank you

Bakki showers are a great addition. Esp in high summer when they are very useful when feeding heavily. They improve aeration gas of ammonia and reduce nitrates and nitrite. Downsides noise, running costs as they need a high flow 20k liters per hrs for best performance. Also they lose heat when it's cooler. I run mine all year round but cover and reduce flow through the winter months.
