    Variable pond pump issue

Hi I have a 35000 variable swell pump it has no blockadges, but the turnover rate is now awful when i turn it up to full power, both display readings show 100 where one would previously show 100 % flow rate the other would show a much higer number indicating the wattage being used at the time, nothing on the pond has changed, my thinking is that is if the wattage isn't going over 100 when it used rise above 400 the controller may have gone bad ?

the controllers may have fancy electronics limiting wattage based on load?
have you stripped the pump down to see if it has calcified around the impellor or there is debris stuck in it?
they need periodic cleaning as the tolerances around the impellor and stator are a lot tighter than they used to be, to make them more efficient.

Everything looks fine, strange thing is when i turn the controller up to max flow, the display shows 100 % flow and 100 on the watts useage display yet at max power it should read around 400 , 100 would only be bout 25% flow rate on 100 watts power.

if you have cleaned the impellor inside the pump and it's showing low wattage on full power, it sounds like the controller or pump may be bad.
is the actual pump output much slower than normal?
