BD to retro bottom drain?
Sorry for multiple threads lately - just a big learning curve with ponds.
Currently thinking attaching a bottom drain to the bottom of my 4m wide polypond will be too difficult, as I will have to turn it on the side, attach the drain and some how lower it and allign it perfect in a trench. Instead, I was wondering if I can use it as a retrofitted bottom drain?
I haven't cut the pole yet but just to give an idea of it upside down. Or perhaps I remove the bottom plate and just use screws/bolts as legs to raise it off the ground?
Any suggestions?
Kind regards.

Not my photo but essentially like this? I know it's ugly but it's a turtle pond filled with different logs so easily hidden.
