I've not gone for a drum just yet but my days the difference from having a multibay to have a nexus to worlds apart no wet hands 5 mins instead of a hour and the water has never been better ,more stable and clearer .

Sorry if it's been said I haven't read the thread properly. But there is a massive difference in clarity and quality.

As said this forum has years and years of mistakes which is why it's so so good to help new and old members out been there got the t shirt and all that .

. When I first set up my 2k gal pond it cost 600 including a couple fish , filter , uv ,pumps and building materials so it can be done on the cheap
. I made the big mistake of no bd and multibay filter . I picked up a second hand nexus for 300 and did a bottom drain for 50 .
By the time am finished with the airlift return I'll have probably spent 1100, 1200 but 300 400 of that at least was double spending ie changing filters and having pumps ect to buy that I'll now be getting rid of

I love the nexus over the multibay .

The multibay was around 6ft long 2 foot wide 2 foot deep so not tiny lol .

The nexus is 200/220 is the smaller of the 2 nexus you then get the 300/320

    Again not small !!
