    Nexus leaks

I have 2 of the larger Nexus filters think they were 300's at the time, must be at least 16 years old, so probably had my moneys worth out of them, however with one in particular I have suffered with a few leaks on the underside, obviously hard to access, but the last time it was a drain down remove media, find the hole and seal up with goldseal. Ok for several years, but now there is yet another leak dripping away, so will have to repeat the bodge up again. Has anyone else suffered with this problem, at the time these were supposed to be extremely efficient, but I don't think I have ever been really impressed even with the one that has performed without leaking.

Not sure how you can get holes I would of imagined the problem to be the totally crap waste exit ?

Can't help with the leak issue but seems really unusual that you would get a leak in them at all? Don't really understand how it could happen unless its on sharp edges underneath

I don't know what the material is that these items are made of but it does seem very robust, however, the last time this happened on this very same filter, I was able to put an inspection lead lamp, underneath the filter and in about 3 places the light was actually coming through the material, thereby giving me the location of the holes and they were subsequently sealed up. Not quite sue of your comment re the crap waste exit, that is provided by the two ball valves originally supplied which then goes in to 50mm pipe to an oldish badu type pump with a filter cage, then pumped away, very efficiently, to a drain which then enters the field behind me. There is no damp or leaks around the waste manifold on the nexus in fact the drip can be seen on the opposite side of the Nexus.
