    nexus 200 overhaul/upgrade

I have a later model nexus 200 with the inner k1 cleaning section, I have just bought an overflow kit for it and plan on fitting it this weekend. I bought the filter second hand and just installed it and ran it (its been running for about 4 years) i plan on lifting the easy out and giving it a good clean and checking all the air pipe air holes are working well. is there a guide as to how much k1 should be in the easy? is there a fill to mark?
any other things i should look at?
Its all running on an old air pump so i may give that a check over at the same time
    Thanks for any advice
    Nick

Mine is just the easy that uses a grey bit of drainpipe with a rubber seal to close off the inner chamber. my overflow kit has the new metal grill, a lid for the easy and the pipework
At the moment if the easy gets too dirty it rises and the k1 flows into the outerchamber and then either out of the outflow into the pond (happened once ) or as i now have some mesh over the top of the outlet pipe it would spill out of the top of the nexus. forgot to say its pump fed

Mine overflowed several times into the pond when I was pump fed... nightmare.

If it help I just dug up a photo of when I installed it, though water may have pushed the level up a tiny bit..

According to the Nexus 200 manual:

50 litres (for bio stage – max 150 litres possible)
30 litres (for Eazy – max 30 litres possible)

Just saw your picture, looks like the eazy in my Nexus 220 and it has 18 litres of K1 micro.

Well it was a lovely evening so i drained the nexus down and removed the easy, not easy, required all the k1 taking out and the central pipe removing first. Then i removed the sieve plate. Thats when it all went pete tong, the kit seive plate was much bigger than mine so was never going to fit. so i jetwashed all the inner chamber, cleaned up the air line and put it all back together On the plus side it would appear I had way too much k1 in the inner chamber as i found online the instructions on dry filling until you could just see the top inch of the last inlet grate. all back together and a return request on the overflow kit requested. One last point, my nexus is on a home made welded frame and it appears the frame gas dropped by an inch mabe on one side so now the bio chamber is very bubbly on one side and not so on the other, oh well problem for another day.

Id love to but the exit sieve plates are wildly different about 10 cm wider and 10cm higher on the new one
they are supposed to be universal for 200 and 300 series. all I can think is mine is a vey old one that had foams in the middle that the previous owner modded to a k1 easy inner
