Pond Upgrade Fiter Advice
Hi all,
I'm after some advice/validation regarding an impending pond upgrade.
I currently have my fish in a dug in approx. 4500L pond.
Current filtration as follows:
Pump fed to Hoselock Bioforce Revolution 6000 for UV and pre-filtering and then on to an Eazy Pod with gravity return.
This setup works well apart from the Eazy pod needing regular flushes in the summer months,
The plan is to move to a sleeper pond approx 6000L (3*2.4*1m) with the following:
an 4" aerated bottom drain
Evolution Cetus Sieve then via an Evolution Aqua Varipump 10000 to my Eazy Pod and then a second Evolution Aqua Varipump 10000 via a UV back to the pond. I've not done a gravity setup before and all seems a bit complicated with 2 pumps etc
Is this overkill? Would I be better off moving up to a Nexus with a single pump setup?
Thanks in anticipation

the sleeper pond that size would be better if you could go 1.2 or better 1.5 deep.
and by the time you've bought a cetus and 2 x 10,000 varios,
your in nexus, or even filtreau drum territory + an ibc for bio... if you also sell the easypod....
