    TMC 110 watt

Finally managed to get one delivered in one piece, so had a read through the gumf in the instructions, and was somewhat surprised to see that they recommend that the whole contents of the pond are passed through the unit at least once every two hours. As the unit is designed to handle think it was 72K litres that means 36K an hour. some sort of pump that is as far as I can see. I will say that my system is quite antiquated with 2 EA Nexus filters and a easy on one of the skimmers, so have I got my math's right as the 2 Nexus were installed as the pond is roughly 75K litres so two were required, one on each bottom drain, so in effect, gravity fed with Sequence 14K litres an hour pumps on each one, with the TMC after the pump on one and 2 cloverleaf 72 watt in series on the other filter, the skimmers have a 30w and a 55 w respectively. Does that make sense? TIA

That is sure handling some throughput, surprised if the UV is effective to it's best at that speed of flow, interested to hear what others say

My thoughts exactly, and then you have to have a filter system that can handle that sort of flow rate, just checked my sequences and they are 12K not 14. Another cock up is that they tell you they are supplying a stepped inlet / outlet device for either 2" or 63mm rigid pipework, all I have is a hosetail which fits in the ports.

Well I guess a horsetail is stepped, but Blimey they could have said that, that is way to fast for a nexus to work we too I believe ??

It's just a straight hosetail for a 2" flexible hose, which isn't the way I wanted to connect it rather for preference the rubber reduction boots which I think, will measure first, will be 63 mm to 50 mm. I rung their "helpline" last week to ask about several things, this included, and was promised a return e-mail, guess what?
