    Nexus upgrade

    Hi all,
My 12500 litre pond been running for about 18 months on a Nexus 220.
Filter working well apart from the usual Nexus problem, cant get crystal clear water !
Looking at upgrading and thinking of a drop in Draco, just wondering how people have found these or is there a better option ?

Freddyboy had the 320 and had a draco. 5000gal and around 50 fish water was gin clear pond was 7ft deep and looking down was that clear you would think it was 1ft deep. Kept his perfect. But at the same time I know rs is looking to upgrade from the draco on his pond as its on the border line of cleaning to offent in summer. But am sure rs will be along soon

Thanks for the reply Johnathan, sounds promising, my pond is half that size on a 220 with 8 fish up to about 30-32 cm so hopefully it would help.
Mine is 4 1/2 ft deep and gin clear at the moment but was murky in the summer.
    Really sad news about Freddyboy.

    Hi Mark,

Im on 9000 litres with a draco, very pleased with it, had good water since fitted. I’ve also just added a bead, which has taken it to another level. Very easy once it’s set up properly, important to get the levels spot on and float switch correct, then there’s nothing to do really.

You could of course just add a bead and get similar clarity, but you’d no doubt be cleaning it A lot! Would certainly recommend the Draco.

Thanks Spongebob, glad to hear positive comments on the Nexus with a Draco as I really don’t want to fully replace it yet.
This year I’m looking at the Draco and a heat pump so may look at a bead next year when bank balance has recovered !
Im only a few miles from where the Dracos are made so it would be rude no to have one !
