Cetus seive modification
Hi all, I have a 4" skimmer and B/D feed that need to got into my cetus, as I have very limited room.
My question is, after researching looks like it can be a pain getting it balanced would I be better off taking the skimmer feed into the side of the cetus (drilling a large hole )
Or has anyone managed to set up both feeds together and got it working OK?
I will have a gate valve on the skimmer line to adjust flow
Thx in advance

Would teeing both the bottom drain and the skimmer onto 1 pipe to the sieve not work? I'd have thought it would be ok.
What's the set up after the sieve?

Sieve into vari pump then into eazypod (with a balanced line) back out through a 2nd vari pump to uv, heat exchanger then 2 mid returns, my filter bay is so small I havent got much room for changes, I think it would work, just worried I may not get enough draw through the skimmer line.
Was hoping someone had this set up and could help me decide.
Cheers

Hopefully someone will be along soon with more knowledge than me.
I would have thought the bottom drain draw would be more than the skimmer line, but it would help draw the water from the skimmer to the sieve if that makes sense!
I have the same sieve from a 3" skimmer, I have loads of flow into the sieve

Just an update, no draw from skimmer line ,so had to butcher the cetus sieve with a 4in hole, working great and full control so all good.

Gravity fed, you should aim for 4 " then two inch after the sieve to the pump.

Hopefully. Try it. But like I said. Ideally 4" gravity from the skimmer into sieve until the pump side 2".
