Water connection house to nexus
What does everyone use to get from house to filter bay? I have an outside connection with this plastic piping so I need to connect to this at the house end and then get to the nexus
Im presuming this stuff is good to use outside as this has been here in all weathers outside switched on and amazingly has never split! I can get it down 750 mm under the paving. I’ve also got plenty of the blue MDPE which I could use? I have about 5 metres from house to filter bay.
I need 2 connections at the filter end, one for the Draco and one for purifier auto top up.

I used EDPM, the blue stuff that house mains supply is these days made of.
Its incredibly tough and not prone to damage from either frost of stomping on. It would defo not be easy to stick a garden fork through (although best to bury it deeper than that anyway for thermal reasons too).
Screwfix do a good range of all the connectors for it. You only need to screw them up hand tight for a rock solid connection.
There are connectors to interface with other types of screw threads etc. available.
Buy the reinforcer tip thingies to put in your cut ends before you connect them up, they are important.
I used a T in the filter house, one branch connects to the dechlorinators and the other I fitted an outside tap to so I can have a hose in there for rinsing things off conveniently.
Oh, and bear in mind this stuff is not very bendy- if you want it to go round a corner then you need to get some of the elbows.

I’ve tried to find these on Screwfix site “reinforcer tip thingies” lol. Right I’ll go for EPDM I have stacks of the stuff. What purifier do you use? I’ve used ST up to now for top ups but fitting an auto top up now and mindful of being an old house with copper pipes etc.

You could contact Andy finch he does a good price on big and little blues. Also stocks carbon for refilling.
This is the pipe inserts you need
I would also go MDPE

Plastic pipes will deteriorate from UV.
So worth using a uv stable insulation were exposed like in the picture.

Went for this beast, https://www.googleadservices.com/pag...BAgMEEI&adurl=mainly because it seemed really robust, and they did next day delivery, it’s fitted in very nicely. Just trickling in now.
Cost another 125 notes for some really good cartridges but I have 15 for that so should last a while! Spent all day today lining the filter bay with insulation, https://www.diy.com/departments/jabl...4/26831_BQ.prd. Nice and easy to use, cheap and done a cracking job, also covered the top of the nexus.
Little 55 W heater going in tomorrow https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which I’ll just leave on over winter, should be snug in there I’m thinking and frost free, if not I’ve insulted the hell out of it!
