Dechlorinator filter Capacity?
Hi all. Beginner here. I want to trickle in and trickle out on my 6,000 litre pond. I want to buy a dechlorinator filter but I’m not sure what it means by capacity? Is it how often you have to renew the cartridge? Any advice gratefully received.

Thank you very much for a great article. Really interesting.
You mentioned Sodium Thiosulfate. I currently do a large change each day until my filters are up to speed and use ST.
out of interest.potentially stupid question time.... If I was trickling in water without a filter, but I threw 5ml ST in the pond each morning, would it stay in the pond for the rest of the day removing the chlorine or does it become ineffective after a certain time?
many thanks again for your advice.

ST stays active until it becomes neutralised by the incoming chlorine.

how i started using ST for first time. i dosed the full 5000 gallons the 1st time at 10 ml per 100 Imperial uk gallons.
then after that i put 1 tea spoon full in every 3 days. for my trickle in and out. i put it in neat in my top pond. not where the fish are. as they think its food.
and dont want to hurt them

I copy @freddyboy, he uses a spoon, but I made a mix in a gin bottle and give them a "tincture"every 3 days also.
I've had 2 EA inline cartridges split and they are not up to the job at removal of Chlorine and chloramine for my water even at a tiny trickle..

I have the Oase Aqua Active inline dechlorinator. It's also not effective. I'm still detecting chlorine with DPD 4 tablets even on a trickle. I'm also using ST.
Finch Filtration (has a page on Facebook) are supposed to have very good units although can't say I've used one.
