Here you go https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluelab-Gua...3-384c62c0be4f
Quite a few of us who are running RO +/- recycling are using this meter.
I also have TDS meters on the RO output and waste pipes, but this one gives a pond overview in addition to pH and temp continuously so is very useful. You need to calibrate the pH probe from time to time, it comes with packets of the solutions to do this with.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Do you find the PH reading is accurate running low KH? I spoke with Seneye who seemed to think you needed to be around 7/8 to get good readings?

It’s a lot more accurate than the Seneye My Seneye web server packed up and I decided to get this instead of replacing it.
Like all pH probes it will drift over time, so regular calibration is necessary. However I’ve had this one for months and it’s still dead on. Andy Finch is experimenting with his by fitting a more expensive industrial pH probe to it- he hasn’t yet reported his verdict as he’s going to give it a while. I also have a pH controller that has a more expensive pH probe on it, and a peristaltic pump for the bicarb, so I’m not at all worried about running a KH below 2.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Yeah I did see that video on YouTube actually where did you buy the device that shows the figures and the membrane from? I am intrested in it I must admit. Did you notice when you run ro the fish look after them self as such? As from what he said on the video is that he hasn’t done a retreatment on his koi in years running ro i think he raid it down to running a TDS of like zero. All very interesting.

You’d never get the TDS to zero- especially with fish in. But it’s realistic to have an RO output below TDS of 10.
My RO bits and pieces mostly came from Vyair- they do various models of TDS meters and flow meters for different sizes of RO pipe and mounting options. Andy Finch is also now supplying all this kit, his new website isn’t yet live but he’s on Facebook and will happily chat to people about what they need.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

That’s interesting, I’m sat at around 3/4 naturally but bulk buy bicarb, finding I’m chewing more in the grow on than the pond although pond is very lightly stocked and filter isn’t fully mature. Will do some research though as whilst the test is easy it’s another daily task that could be dealt with automatically maybe

Yeah, the pH controller and either peristaltic pump or solenoid valve to a raised bicarb solution chamber (this is what Chip now has, if you watch any of his Rasta Koi movies on YouTube) can manage the pH for you. The only manual bit you need to do is chuck a few kgs of bicarb in the container from time to time, and calibrate the probe occasionally.
Its nice to have a secondary monitor like the Bluelab that you can glance at every day when checking your fish though, just to make sure everything is ok.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Well I run RO (usually), but I’m certainly not saying it’s for everybody.
Its well worth watching some of Chips videos to get an idea of what the kit for recycling RO looks like etc. My filter house is too covered in cobwebs to take a camera into
