OK so if you use a hose via a 3 pod dechlorinator and run it flat out then surely you are using a flow rate well above what the 3 pod dechlorinator can remove chlorine at? So basically you are using chlorinated water to clean the sieve? Then you are relying on the ST to remove the water that goes from the sieve back into the pond unless I'm missing something? As water is going to go through the screen and into the outlet of the sieve and then back into the pond the next time you run the sieve / pump? OK we probably aren't talking massive amounts of water and what does get back to the pond will be dealt with by the ST right?

Anyway back to the filter sysyem set up

The initial slight drip that I slowed to a very slow drip is now back to a relatively fast drip now it's got to be leaking via the spiral on the internal surface of the 75mm flexi hose so I've decided to replace that with some 3" pressure and some flexi rubber boots.

Going to put a 75mm coupler on the outlet of the sieve and possibly cut it down to half it's length then stick it 3" flexi rubber boot elbow over that and clamp them both down together on the outlet pipe. Then drop down in 3" pressure to another flexi rubber boot elbow then using a short bit of 3" pressure join the elbow to the flexi rubber boot T and hopefully that will sort the leak properly.

I was going to go with a 3" to 75mm or 90mm to 75mm reducer, then a 3" elbow down to another 3" elbow but I thought the 75mm coupler was a better cheaper option and I could keep the outlet pipe tighter to the inlet pipe

Did nt think at all you was having a go.
Yes that is right lol. ST deals with it afterwards. When it's running normally. That 3 pod also runs my washes on the draco mesh. When it cleans so it slows right down. That's when it takes metals out the water lol. At slow speed. I also use it to top up qt. At full throttle for water changes.
And use ST in there as well. I don't trust it to take
Chlorine and chloramine out. Just metals.
    Even if I trickle it.

Bit of a result in the last 2 days the 3" EA flexi rubber boot elbows arrived yesterday and the 75mm flexi rubber boot coupler arrived this morning - at half bloody 7 I thought only the police or the fraud squad worked that early lol

Blimey the 50 micron filter sock blocked quickly the 100 micron ones are good for 2 to 3 days normally but the 50 was swapped last night and by 8 this morning it was fully inflated but when cleaned not much came out. Shows the sieve must be doing something

At the moment I'm just scooping the muck out of the sieve as getting the hose in there with the 75mm flexi hose leaking like it currently is doesn't seem like a good idea so will wait until I get the 3" pipe work fitted to the overflow before hosing it out

Well if I don't use them I'll forget to empty the drip catching tub and flood the shed plus empty the pond

I could do but would have to fit a puddle pump in a bucket to catch the drips and then pump that into the QT or better still, straight back into the pond lol.

It's loosing about 2 litres a day so currently I just empty the tub morning and evening and if I'm at home at all during the day occasionally check it the tub during the day as well.

Just swapped the 75mm flexi for 3" pressure pipe and flexi rubber boots. The 75mm flexi rubber boots coupler was a bit over sized but appears to he holding water. If required I can always use the cut down push fit 75mm discharge pipe to connect onto the overflow and then go with the 3" pressure pipe work fitted today.

The only good thing about the 75mm flexi hose was it made it easy to empty the 3" pipe work to just below the outlet of the T but now I'm a bit stuck as I still haven't got a drain off option on the 3" between the sieve and the Eazy Pod I just wanted to get rid of the leaking joint ASAP so now have to decide how to do the drain off.

3" T to 3" elbow. This was where the 75mm flexi hose was leaking. So far so good at the moment

Outlet of the overflow. 75mm flexi rubber boot coupler fitted to the outlet with a short bit of 75mm pvc pipe inside it to give the end of the coupler a bit of strength. The 3" elbow is clamped onto and over the top of the 75mm coupler.

Inside the sieve. This was all scooped out last night and after the sieve had been topped up to over the overflow and then drained back into the Eazy Pod. It went into the Eazy Pod so quickly it almost overflowed out of the top of it I had just over 3 bucket fulls of water in the pipe work to get out before I could remove the 75mm flexi hose earlier and had a bit of a flood in the shed as the water came out of the flexi hose a bit quicker than I expected!!! It's drying out quite well now

lol you can't see it from the photo but the coupler looks almost oval where it's attached to the outlet of the sieve. How it's holding water I'll never know lol.

To check it for leaks I just shut the slide valve on the inlet of the Eazy Pod and waited for the water to fill the sieve past the top of the overflow and then shut the pump off and checked it for any signs of a leak. Didn't leave it for long then just released the slide valve, turned the pump back on and nearly flooded the shed. Maybe I should have waited for the water to settle before turning the pump back on lol
