I know everyone raves about BHM but the CSM is working for me

Hi mate,
I use the genuine BHM media.
Does not fall apart and very absorbing.
Ive used for 5 years now and had no problems whatsoever.
Cheers

H-1 rods from China. Had them for over 3 years. Very cost effective.

It’s a pet hate of mine when people say ‘Bakki shower’ (which is a brand trademark of Momotaro showers running BHM) but then start talking about other shower filters and other media. A bit like saying ur buying a Nexus, then show a picture of a dustbin filled with plastic scouring pads
But more seriously, if you are sold on the concept of a very high flow rate shower with a media that is hopefully going to gas off some nitrogenous waste rather than just making a shed load of nitrate, then the BHM is the one with the most evidence behind it.
Some members bought cheaper shower media in the past which slowly broke down over time causing irritation to fish gills and even fish losses, I went for BHM for my shower because in the grand scheme of things for the difference of maybe £300 it was not worth buying something that I didn’t know for sure was the best or the equivalent of it. Had I bought a cheaper media I would have been forever wondering if I could perhaps have pushed feeding/stocking levels even higher had I bought the BHM2016 new 6000 gallon pond
