A lot of planning and thinking gone into the building of the frame work.
It's a fascinating build. I wondered how you was going to do the base. Now I know.
Brill.

Yeah took me quite a while to figure out how to frame it.
When I start cladding it you will see more reinforcement using galvanised banding kind of like snap ties for concrete forms.
That piece of wood you see laid on the floor there is just scrap it’s been moved

Been a while - it’s taking me quite some time to build as I have other commitments but here goes the first bits of cladding and the banding holding the two forms together.
Walls are solid now and not moving. By the time I add the banding on every single board it’s going to be indestructible

Here’s the elbow rebar coming out of the wall and into the slab. It’s 100cm long each way so it. Completely ties the walls. Into the slab

Seems an awful lot of work! But I’m sure when you pour the concrete it will be suddenly worth it. Outstanding looking job, can’t wait to see it finished

Well in the long run this will be a much cheaper way of doing it and way way stronger than using blocks.
It’s taking me a while to get these forms done. Much longer than I was expecting. But I’m getting there

Front wall that contains the window is now up to ground level. I’ve backfilled the entire hole with mot1.
Will be laying artificial grass up to the edge of the pond
Here’s the wall with the back filled hole.
The wall is absolutely solid now all that mot1 has anchored the timber base plate down

Anyone got any ideas why my nexus 220 inlet has a small valve on it? Did the supplier just mix up the fittings and I need to swap them round?

That looks like a boot for a pump fed system to me, if you are going gravity there should be just a plain 4" rubber union too.... i may be wrong, it was over 12 years ago i installed mine

Yeah it has a 4 inch Union on the outlet which is strange as I would need to reduce it down to attach my pump.
I think they just switched them round
