Cetus sieve to Nexus filter both gravity fed
Hi everyone
Has anybody successfully used / connected a gravity fed Cetus sieve to a gravity fed Nexus as shown in the diagram below?
Or have you done it a different way that works?

So you used two pumps? One from sieve to nexus and one from Nexus back to the pond?

No just gravity to cetus then pump to nexus, cetus bellows at full height level with pond water level, then return to pump which feeds nexus, issue is water volume through cetus return, I've installed 50 mm outlets to get better flow out, I've put 2 50 mm on each seive in preparation for trying again, will be fed with 20,000 ltr vario

Not sure it will work unless you have your sieve above the nexus gravity feeding it
QUOTE=Stuffyrat;344868]Done it similar but needed pump to get volume through nexus, I'm about to try again but it's probably going to be bottom drain to pump to cetus to nexus to uv

It's not my pond was how my nephew wanted it, he ain't got a bead filter he had the cetus, everyone does things differently I've got a bead filter and think it's more hassle than it's worth in my opinion it's just sat in the shed, when I complete my drum the cetus sieves and nexus will be redundant too, you asked if people had done similar, I awnserd, I'm about to do a similar set up for liams pond so see how that pans out

Hi,
My set up was bottom drain gravity fed to cetus and pumped via uv to nexus then gravity return to 4 inch mid return to pond.
This only requires one pump to run.
The top water line in the nexus is the minimum 12 inches above the pond water level.
The Cetus has now been replaced by a drum which has the bd and skimmer feeding it.
Cheers

Hi Algarth,
I have a stand alone drum with a split outlet. One pump feeds the nexus via a uv which is in the same position as when I had the Cetus. The other pump is on a timer and just feeds a waterfall / mid return to the pond.
The water height in the nexus is set by the pipe inside the return line.
Cheers
