Wink Aquadyne Bead Filter - how do I remove the beads & clean them ?

I have a 10yrs + Aquadyne bead filter, I regularly use a blower on it but think it needs a deep clean. How do I remove the beads and clean them ? My 14' x 6' - 6' deep pond with 25+ big koi came with the house so I just muddle through !!!

    Cheers

Undo the three unions connecting the pipes to the Multiport valve.
Remove the big ring clamp at the top of the tank opening, holding on the multiport to the body of the bead filter, then slowly lift up as beads will escape.
I wouldn't clean the media/beads though, you'll be removing the good nitrifying bacteria, just check for clumping of beads or any crud, if there isn't any then leave be.

    Have fun

Don't bother i emptied one after years of use to move it, there was no crap in there as it was flushed regularly, just open the bottom sludge drain regularly to get rid of the muck at the bottom and all will be good.
