Are all Bakki Showers the same

    Hi All,
considering putting a small bakki shower as additional / back up / oxgen supply to my pool.
I know they were all the rave around 8 years ago, then they appeared to fall out of favour, now they are back in fashion.

There are quite a few around but what should i be looking for

Most are plastic will they distort ?
Some have trays others drilled holes.
Some are single 1.5 pipe others are double
    2 tier , 3 tier ?

I know the media is important but just like to hear if there is anything I should avoid regarding the showers themselves.

It will not be my primary filtration, so don't want to spend loads.

    Cheers

For me a shower is a shower, mine is 3 tier, the more tiers you have the more media you can get in it, its plastic and its a medium size, I think its 1.2 meters long, the base on mine is a mesh, I prefer the mesh as it has less chance of standing water and will give a better flow, but both ways will work, my inlet spray bar is 2", the bigger the shower the more flow you need so the bigger the pipe size

4600 Gallon Concrete Block and Fiberglass
2100 mm x 710 mm Infinity Window 32mm thick glass
2 x Aerated Bottom Drains and Skimmer
    Filtreau HiFlow 30 Drum Filter
    Bio Chamber - 140 litres K1
Bakki Shower - 30 KG Sakura Far Infrared Media
    2 x 18,000 lh pumps
Heated from house boiler through a heat exchanger

Milk crates can be used for showers, too, if you feel like going the DIY route:

(you might need to put smaller bio media in net sacks)

I love mine - It made a big difference to my pond water And hasn’t distorted although the bottom tray did bend a little while On an uneven surface During some Pond works. It straightened out fine afterwards though.
