An Eazy pod is a great little filter, just seems your levels are not right. Loads of people use them on here..good luck sorting!

Lol if I ever get my QT up and running I'll have 2 Eazy Pods to clean, 1 pump fed and 1 gravity fed. Just have to get use to the 2 different cleaning methods. I'm going flood the shed or the garage I think

Ok guys just ordered a Draper Wet and dry vac, hopefully it's upto the job in sucking out the muck from the bottom of the Eazypod. As regards to the water level, I have topped up the pond tonight and the Pod water level is just below the overflow section. Will do a clean again.

Hopefully that was all your problem was

Wet and dry Hoover is definitely a good idea but don't use it as a replacement for draining the Eazy Pod during cleaning as there is about 80 to 90 litres of water that comes out of an Eazy Pod each time you drain it. Most cleans will be 2 full loads and at least 1 partial load. That's a job for the sump or puddle pump.

One good clean, then smaller clean to get shot of the remaining waste worked for me when I had a Easypod.

Also the more often you clean the Eazy Pod the less muck you get in it. Just need to be careful with one that has new media in it as over cleaning will slow or possibly even stop the maturing process.
