1/2 inch BSP standard plumbing thread, that fitting needs to go before any filters.

you'll need two 1/2" brass male iron to copper adpators

I'm running 20mm blue poly pipe to the filter so can I use a couple of 20mm male adapters with 1/2" threads either side of the PRV ?

OK thanks, just looked on Screwfix and they only do 20mm x 3/4" male adapters going to have a look on Toolstation to see if they do 20mm x 1/2" male adapters. I did see Screwfix sell a 22mm compression fitting PRV but I'm not sure if that would fit as the inline valve is sold as 20mm for the poly pipe?

    Lol nice one Roy

If it was me I'd keep the same letters apart from the C if she said anything lol

Why is it that predictive text only works when you don't want it to!!!

I PMd someone yesterday and to enter my address only had to enter the first letter of each line but this morning I had to write every letter!!

    BTW YHPM thanks

The part 1 float valve that I use to control the flow into the pond has got a long bar which goes to a cylindrical float OK, as the current fill level is too low can the bar be bent upwards slightly to get a higher fill level?

I asked the plumber I used and he suggested using a part 2 float valve which you can adjust the height of the float but I didn't like the idea of having a bar sticking downwards into the water below the float as it would be a danger to the fish so went for the part 1 version same as I had before which I had to replace as it was starting to leak and over fill the pond. I was just going to remove the complete valve, stick it in a vice and then give the bar a bit of a bend but wanted to know if it was OK to give it a try?

From recent experience, with 20mm poly pipe, I had to replace the toolstation fittings with screwfix ones including the inserts and for the PRV I can only find the fittings I need at toolstation!!! Hopefully the leaks I had before were down to the toolstation inserts being fractionally smaller than the screwfix ones so if I use the screwfix inserts with the toolstation fittings I will be OK

That's the common problem with plumbing stuff, different makes are fractionally different sizes even though they are claiming they are actually the same size and as you need a water tight fit that fraction of a mm difference may not sound like much but it's the difference between a good non leaking seal and a slightly leaking seal

Put PTFE over the Olive type things and nip them up, I know what you mean blue pipe fittings can vary slightly in sizes, but you can usually get round it.

The inline tap was for 20mm poly pipe but from Toolstation and that has to be tightened up pretty tightly to get both olives to compress enough to stop the leaks lol

Just nee to sort out a couple of leaks on the canisters and possibly the flow meter fittings as well. I think the canisters just need a bit more tightening which may require a bit of a tap with a rubber mallet on the spanner.
