Dechlorinator
Hey guys I can’t remember who told me this product now but remember it being cheap as chips and the best stuff out there to dechlorinate water. I have a three stage dechlorinator but many people say they don’t 100% clean the water. I’m currently using the three stage backed up with a liquid dechlorinator but it is running out so thought I’d try this other product out. I’m guessing either rs2000 or fred haha. Cheers guys

Its ST. Sodium thiosulphate Crystal's. Buy them on ebay.
I put teaspoon full every 3 days. For trickle in and out.
If you go to manky sanke site it's on there.
He put a chart on here the other week for dosage for gallons. I put them in neat in my filter exit.

If you put them in neat like I do. Mine dilute
Before going near fish. Reason I am mentioned this. You don't want your fish eating them lol. Burn there mouths. So just get a jug of warm water with the amount you need for water change. Stir until dissolved. And pour into pond. At top up water hose end easy. Theres lots of us don't trust the 3 pod stage for chlorine.
I still use it on trickle. To take metal s out.

please remember this will also knock back your filter bio build up so cut back feeding if your using it. never add it to the filter and at some point invest in a carbon type water filter. x

Sodium thiosulphate can be used to dechlorinate water either as dry crystals or made into a liquid if that is more convenient and it won't affect the biofilter in any way (other than to remove chlorine/chloramine, of course).
I calculated this chart for students on my on-line water quality course which is designed for an international student base so I calculated it for all three major measuring systems which allows them to use whichever units they prefer. You only need to use enough for the amount of top up water that is about to be added but sodium thiosulphate is virtually non toxic unless added in ridiculous quantities so you can be very generous in the amounts added. Hope that helps.

I put 65 grams of dissolved sodium thiosulphate in a small 500ml coke bottle
( obviously with water and not the coke LOL). I change 200 gal of water each week. 5 capfuls of the coke bootle = approx 20ml. I have checked with DPD 4 tablets and there has never been a trace of chlorine . I had a 3 stage pod designed by the RO man that is resin based to filter out the heavy metals to top up with, no need to witty if carbon filter not working effectively. The Fish have thrived and have been really healthy under this plan. Hope this helps
Merry Christmas
