A few years ago I got a price for a raised grate floor in there but thought it might have been a problem if I dropped anything down there so never went for it.

Well the reducers arrived today and I made a bit of a start this afternoon.
I have got 2 solvent weld stepped hose tails which the first one fitted like a hand in a glove in the 1.25" end of the reducer and the fitting for the filter was a slightly tighter fit but the second reducer was a different story and trying to get the hose tail and other fitting into it was like trying to squeeze a quart into a pint pot Annoyingly I hadn't fitted the locknuts to the filter fittings so had to remove the reducers and try again. As the reducers had now been stretched slightly they were a lot easier to refit the second time The hose tails have now been cut to size and the internal lips filed off. I have fitted a bit of 38mm or 40mm hose to one hose tail ready to go onto the filter.
Got to clear a bit of space on the shed floor to fit the new filter which may have to be raised slightly to make the waste outlet fit above the waste water tub.

Quick update -
Solvent weld joints held OK and just have some leaks on the hose tails. 1 on the top of the Multi Cyclone and another on the inlet to the Eazy Pod. Hopefully just need to tighten on and refit the other as it is sitting a bit pissed so may not be clamping on the flexi hose properly?
Filter is collecting a fair amount of muck and I just need to sort out the best way to flush it to waste as the instructions say it can be done with the pump running or stopped. I've tried it with the pump running and the inlet valve to the Eazy Pod shut so then it is pushing the muck out rather than letting it empty just by gravity, although that seems to stir up a lot of the muck so I tried it with the pump stopped, the valve to the Eazy Pod shut and the air release valve on the filter open and that seems to work better. May see what happens if I remove the air release valve completely next time as that should let it drain quicker hopefully?
