How can I feed my Sturgeon without adding DOC to my pool

    Hi All
I'm experiencing a lot of DOC pulled off by protein skimmer and collecting in top of my surface skimmer. This gets worse after feeding my 2 sturgeon high protein sturgeon pellets. It could be that having recently changed over to drum / bio set up the water shows this more. I have had the sturgeon for over 10 years the food was the same as before the filter upgrade.

How can I balance feeding the sturgeon without creating water quality issues IE DOC & green water
    Cheers

    Hi.
    DOC is Dissolved Organic Compounds
High protein food can be a major contributor.

You state as normal, so have you changed food brand recently, are you feeding more, do you have blanket weed or treated water for blanket weed there are a lot of things that can cause this.
    Cheers
