How restrictive are sturgeon when treating Koi
Hi. I have always wanted sturgeon in my pond with koi. I know have the opportunity to get a diamond, but it is 3.5ft long. My main concern as pointed out by Mr 2Ponds is that it will restrict what treatments I can use. I do still really want it and perhaps an additional 4ft siberian as well.
Therefore I am after some advice about how everyone else manages. Do you use alternative treatments, or do you have available large tanks to move them to. My only source of quarantine is a 220G IBC tank, but this is unfortunately too small I think to move a 4 ft fish into. Is it going to up the cost of everything as for example PP and FMG will have to be replaced with Salt.
Any suggestions or help is advised.
Thanks

I used to have 3,2 big sterlets 3.5 ft and an albino 3ft,got rid due to the restrictions it placed on treatments, plus I noticed a couple of my koi had cuts under them as if the sturgeons dorsal and tail had cut them, dont know for sure but,as you say unless your going to have somewhere big enough to put them i.e big qt I wouldn't,just my opinion though, andi
