I'm not too fussed if it works or not, just as long as it's mechanically sound. -

Does anyone on here have any recommendations? -

As this is going in the basement, I'll need some daylight, preferably LED, lamps to cycle the koi through a day night cycle.
Any recommendations? -

Yes, I'll use K1. I plan on making the moving bed tank from polypropylene.
I need to keep it all as quiet as possible as it's in the basement of the house so a shower's a bit noisy. -

I need to determine the size of moving bed to build. The tank will hold about 2000 litres. -

Yes, completely separate system. I just happen to have a spare Ultrasieve so may as well use it.
I don't think a sieve will deal with bugs but it'll handle the fish waste easily. -

Quarantine/growing on tank advice
Over the winter I thought I'd build a quarantine/growing on tank in our basement.
I'll have to connect the tank, spindrifter, Ultrasieve and moving bed filter with one Superfish external pump.

I've just converted my skimmer to 4" from 40mm, now feeding into an Ultrasieve. I'm staggered at the improvement in water clarity.

So, I'm looking for a used one to have a play with.
