Cloverleaf pond heaters
3 times now ive connnected mine & it still leaks, the easy release couplings are rubbish too weak & flimsy,if you move the pipe it just comes apart (a big NO NO if your pump fed off the bottom) if i could take it back tomorrow i would gladly pay the extra for the Elecro.
Taken it off now stripped it down & off to Shirley Aq in the morning for some glue & pressure pipe & throwing their fixings where they belong in the bin .

It seems a lot of pond equipment come with poor fittings, a bit like buying a curtain pole and they give you cr*p screws and plugs to fit it with
Like you say, chuck the fittings away and get some good quality pipe and fittings and you should be alright. Good luck.1630 Gallon raised pond

i had the same problem with my 2kw clover heater. The large nut would not tighten up enough to stop the leaks, as the nut would just skip the thread. I put large jubalee clips around them to strengthen them and it worked.

Just seen this thread. I had a Cloverleaf heater. It ran for 6-8 months and then the end with the electrics filled with water. Imposdible to reseal it. Unfortunately i had bought the heater about 18 months before i plumbed it in so it was out of warranty.
On the positive side, Mick from Cloverleaf is very customer friendly. He always replies to emails and tries to help.
I used rubber couplings from the get-go to plumb mine in and didn't have a problem with pond water leaking out. (Just rain water seeping into the electric end)
Mick also tells me they have re-modelled tbeir heaters now.
