I presume you mean the unit the uv fits into and not the controller with the light indicators?

No Rog, I ended up buying a whole new UV. Mine does not go inside the drum it is an independent filtreau 80 watt UV system that should (does now) plug into the control box for the drum.

I now have one of these drums, a Filtreau easy drum. It is not put in yet as need to sort all my pipework but I have noticed my float is in the dirty side of the drum rather than clean, is this an issue? The previous owner used it pump fed but I am going gravity so wondered if I need to make any adjustments, and also wondered in regards to the float, does the water level need to be with the float at the top or below so when the drum gradually clogs, the float rises and starts a clean? New to drums so unsure where to look for the info!

    AEM Easy Drum Review

    Hi Sam,
You will need to move the float to the clean side if using as gravity fed.
It also needs to be set so that as the water level drops it triggers a clean. Did you get the pressure pump as well?
Iím glad youíve managed to get a drum for your set up as it will allow you to continue to use your gravity shower whilst also having both your bd and skimmer going through your drum.
The lower you have the float switch the longer the time you will have between cleans.
You will also need to keep the water topped up because as the water level drops the cleaning cycle becomes more frequent.
    Cheers
    Ady

Thanks Ady, I did see in the guide the float switch was in the clean side as I got the manual with it, but I don't see any holes to mount it on or the hole for the wire to thread through. I assume the float goes upside down then as in mine its in the dirty side and currently mounted the other way up to how shown in the guide. I didn't get the pump, I have the solenoid fitting so will need to attach the hose to the spray bar. Thanks again for all your help.

I have emailed Filtreau to see if I need to remount the float in the clean side to use the drum as a gravity fed. I would guess I will have to take the drum out to do this and re assemble which will be a bit of a nightmare when I have no idea what I'm doing.
