It’s like a man made rubber type liner very durable and uv resistant
EPDM and LDPE are not the same.
EPDM is heavier and stretches. LDPE will not stretch.
What shape is the pond and will you be putting a bottom drain/side drain/underwater returns in? If yes then i would use EPDM if you can afford it.
LDPE won't grip round a pipe like EPDM does when streched.
It stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer apparently.
Ask how thick the underlay is too. If its only for 4 years you could get away with using an old carpet or vinyl flooring.
Hey thanks for the reply! It’s going to be a basic pond done with sleepers and then down into ground. No bottom drains I’m going with pump fed gravity return. When I move into the next house few years down the line il go with bottom drains I think but for now I’m happy with doing it this way. Checked out the prices and the epdm is coming in about four times the price, I’m thinking if I get lpde with a underlay it should be fine? What do you think ?
