Thread: My new pond, starting to settle in now

Hi all, as I’m new on here, I thought I’ll put up up a pick of my pond. it’s been up and running now for just under a year. It took me over four months to complete working virtually every day. Hope you like it.

Thanks for all the great comments guys. It was bloody hard work on your own specially at my age. samp09 I live in a Little village near Diss but I own a pub in East Bergholt, which is on the Suffolk Essex border, do you know it?

Lovely looking pond, that's a lot of work in just 4 months, I've been working on mine for 6 months now and nowhere near completion so you've certainly put in the graft, bet you're absolutely thrilled every time you view it

Hi ABN67, glad you like the pond, the fourth pond I’ve built and the last, don’t think I’ve got another one in me. How far off completion is your pond.

I've finished the blockwork for the pond and the framework for the filterhouse and pond roof, the roof covering should be completed this weekend weather permitting, it's been a labour of love fitted in between work and the poor weather we've had this summer but I've enjoyed every bit of it so far, there's a build thread in the pond construction section called first koi pond, I've added a link to it below

Hi ABN67. Just read through your pond build thread. Looking good, a lot of work there especially juggling around work and the whether this year. I’m semi retired now, so was able to work on my pond every day throughout last summer, and the weather was perfect. Good luck with getting the roof on this weekend, hope the weather is kind to you. I’ll keep an eye on your progress

up to just over a year ago, I live there in my pub. Then decided to take semi retirement and Put a manager in and moved to where I am now, so I can concentrate on what matters to me, my Koi
