Not sure whether to go with 3 towers or just the original 2 at the moment?

Is there any reason why I can't got straight into the top of each tower instead of going in through the side near the top as it shows on Manky Sanke's website? I know he mentions the top and bottom have to be as per the drawing but as long as it's not letting in oxygen surely it should be OK to come in from the top as I've got a diffuser plate sitting half way down the coupler that's going to be fitted on the top of each tower?

Sorry it is a Sunday morning after all

    Hope it makes sense!!!

Feed coming in via the skimmer line somehow where the arrow is.

Going through an Oase Y and into the side of the top of each tower.

Through the spray bars and down onto the top diffuser plates - the dashes under the spray bar.

Hopefully the water will drop down inside the towers through the K1 - not shown on the drawing and through the bottom grills - the lower dotted lines.

Then hopefully down into the bottom section and out into the tub and back into the pond.

You'll notice the drawing has allowed for my off straight cutting of the pipework and also what happens when a non UV stable plastic is left in direct sunlight and the heat for too long lol

I thought that putting a spray pipe through one side and coming out through the other side with an end cap that could be removed would be the simplest way to allow inspection and any blocked holes or slots to be cleaned. However, if you don't think you would need that option then you certainly can plumb the feed into the top as long as the entry point is airtight.

Well I am hoping that the push fit end cap should seal into the coupler and make an air tight seal? It's also easier to drill and seal something onto a flat surface like an end cap than it is to have to make a seal on a round surface I thought even thought my A Level standard drawing shows the spray coming in the sides

My photos show a bit better what I thought although they aren't lined up so thought a quick sketch would give a better idea or at least someone a good laugh

Just had a bit of a thought on the water supply to this trickle tower, if it's fed from the outlet of the Tempest it should have a clean enough water supply but as the Tempest gets flushed twice every morning and maybe more at the weekend when I give it a brush and clean, is this going to be putting too much aerated water into the 2 towers? Does it need a constant uninterrupted water supply to it to stop that from happening? The other thing is, we get a fair few power cuts which is going to have the same effect even if the towers have their own water supply?
