    Got some bits.....

I've just got some items from a decommissioned pond. They've sat for over two years, but the pond was filled in and everything was left in place.
I paid a small sum for them all.
Anyway, one is an oasis vortex 20000.

My problem is it was gravity fed with an aquamax eco premium 12000 pumping after the filter back to the pond. I will be running the pumpminfront of the filter, so how do I get a 40mm pipe to step upto the huge inlet? I think its 110mm?

Also do I need to put valves on each compartment?

    Thanks for any help offered.

    Hi Marky

Go into your local plumbing shop - they gave me loads of options for stepping / connecting various parts of the pond piping - 110mm to 40mm will be really easy with either push fit or solvent weld

Lots of options above that will no doubt work. I'm pump fed to a vortex multibay set up and had the same issue, I used solvent weld reducers one inside another down to a size that allowed me to then use a solvent weld hosetail.

    Something like below
